Provvidenza Catalano (Enza/they/them) is a community motivator, teacher and performance artist working in Los Angeles. Enza uses live performance, local events and creative pedagogies to experiment with community building techniques, applied queerness and radical love. They organize with Them Fatale, the Los Angeles “Lady” Arm Wrestlers and Unauthorized Gays. Provvidenza also serves as casting director of Coeurage Ensemble, LA’s pay what you want theatre company. Enza is currently pursuing a MFA in Performance Pedagogy at Loyola Marymount University building upon over 10 years of organizing and performance work. They were notably last seen as the host of RuPaul’s DragCon in Los Angeles, New York City and London and recently made their television and feature debut. Their written work has appeared in The Advocate and Fat & Queer: An Anthology of Queer and Trans Bodies and Lives. On stage, Provvidenza has performed at The Hammer Museum, The Getty and numerous other theatres and universities across the US. Enza’s newest performance, Butch Visions, premiered at One Institute’s inaugural Circa Queer Histories Festival in 2023.
